Canon's F2.8 fast wide-angle zoom includes image stabilization for the first time! Canon's Dual Sensing IS utilizes the camera's in-body processor and gyro sensor. The information is transferred to the lens via the new mount's high-speed data transfer, which adjusts the IS for optimal operation./p>

The manufacturer promises a stabilizer effect of 5 aperture values. The powerful stabilizer combined with a very wide focal length and good brightness enables handheld shooting even in very challenging conditions.

Like other Canon RF lenses, the Canon 15-35mm F2.8L IS features a programmable control dial that can be used to adjust aperture or exposure compensation, for example. The lens structure has been completely redesigned from the previous EF version and consists of 16 lens elements in 12 groups.

The lens is similar in size to the previous version, but the RF mount has enabled the previously mentioned image stabilization as well as a slightly wider 15mm focal length. Three elements are aspherical lenses that reduce distortion, and there are also two UD lens elements that reduce chromatic aberration. The lens's closest focusing distance is 28cm.

The lens uses a new type of Nano USM focusing motor, which is almost silent and is also suitable for video shooting.

The Canon RF 15-35 is weather and dust protected.
