Binoculars and binoculars

Good, high-quality binoculars are an important tool for birdwatchers, nature and water enthusiasts, and hunters. For birdwatching, we recommend 7x - 10x magnification and a 30-50mm front lens. The recommended usable magnification for a moving and rocking boat is 7x. Magnifications higher than this require image stabilization in boating conditions. Recommended options for general binoculars for hiking and nature enthusiasts are binoculars with 6x-8x magnification and a 30-42mm front lens. These are usually a comfortable size, and at best fit in a pocket.

Telescopes or ground-based telescopes

A telescope is the choice when you need more power than binoculars, i.e. magnification. A telescope enables you to identify birds and other objects when observing migration, on bird towers or in other places where objects stay further away. A telescope consists of a body part and an eyepiece, which is replaceable in almost all telescopes. The most common eyepiece has a magnification of 20-60x. The high magnification offered by telescopes means that the telescope needs a sturdy tripod to pair with it.

Rangefinders

In addition to hunting, rangefinders are also suitable for playing golf. It is easy to misjudge distances visually. A rangefinder allows a golfer to determine the exact distance to a flag or obstacle, while a hunter can see the exact distance to the game, making it easier to assess the flight path.
