The Canon RF series teleconverter is mechanically and image-quality-wise designed to perform in the most demanding sports and wildlife photography. The construction is weather and dust-proof for tough use.

Thanks to the low-light autofocus of the Canon EOS R series , autofocus also works with the super-compact RF 600MM and 800MM telephoto lenses with this extension!

No loss of image quality: Canon promises that the teleconverter is also suitable for very critical work. Often, a double teleconverter has been used under duress, the focus does not necessarily work and, for example, detailed backgrounds in the images are difficult in terms of image quality. According to the manufacturer, now with the RF series teleconverters, the choice can be made entirely based on the desired aperture and focal length, the extender works neutrally in between.

Note: This teleconverter does not work with the Canon RF 70-200mm F2.8L lens (it does work with the newer Z version)! The reason for this is that the lens element of the teleconverters extends inside the lens and does not fit into the RF 70-200mm lens.
