The Canon RF 100-400mm is a very compact telephoto lens for Canon EOS R series bodies. Previously, the only option was the significantly more expensive professional-grade 150-500mm lens.

The Canon RF 100-400mm is similar in size to the EF-series 70-300mm lens. When you remove the unnecessary adapter from the lens, it is a very easy-to-carry lens for nature photography, for example.

The size and image quality have been compressed by reducing the aperture, but fortunately the 600mm and 800mm lenses have shown that the EOS R series' autofocus also works at these values.

The lens also has optical image stabilization, and when shooting with the EOS RP body, the stabilization effect is 5.5 stops. The EOS R5 and R6 cameras also use body stabilization, and the stabilization effect is 6 stops.
