The Rode VideoMic GO II is essentially a smaller and simpler version of the Rode VideoMic NTG microphone, and is therefore significantly different in appearance and features from the original and popular VideoMic Go microphone. This version features a Helix stand that effectively dampens handling noise

The Rode VideoMic Go II offers content creators, voiceover artists and podcasters the quality of NTG microphones in a convenient size. The microphone works with cameras, audio recorders, computers with a USB connection, as well as iOS and Android mobile devices (requires a separately purchased cable if you have a smart device with a 3.5mm plug).

The VideoMic GOII has no extra buttons. The USB and 3.5mm connectors on the side of the microphone allow you to connect the microphone to devices. If you have connected the microphone via USB, then you can use the 3.5mm TRS connector for audio monitoring.

The VideoMic GO II does not require batteries, as the device is powered via a 3.5mm TRS connector or USB port.
