Canon EOS R10 is a high-performance all-around camera. This is clearly a kind of updated mirrorless version of the EOS 90D camera. Despite its small size and light weight, it is not just a family photographer's camera, but it offers a furious 23 fps burst shooting and 4K video recording without a 30-minute limit.

Canon announced two APS-C sensor-sized EOS R-series cameras at the same time: the R10 and the more powerful EOS R7 . The R10 combines the best of the 90D and mirrorless sensor and adds more advanced video features, but the R7 is the choice for those who want the best performance!

The Canon EOS R10 is a handy camera for taking on trips, taking pictures of family and loved ones. It's also equipped with surprisingly versatile video features.

The Canon EOS R10 includes so-called smart features that are tailored to specific shooting situations. Macro photography is made easier with the image stacking function. The camera takes several images, changing the focus between shots, and automatically creates a final image with a wide depth of field. Panorama mode builds a combined image directly in the camera (this is not a given with Canon cameras).

The most interesting feature is the Panning mode. With this setting, when following a subject by panning the camera, the Canon EOS R10 detects the speed of the camera movement and automatically selects the shutter speed so that the subject is as sharp as possible, but the movement and exposure delay add momentum to the image! This, combined with Dual Pixel AF II driver detection and next focus, is very convenient for anyone interested in motorsports.

Compact and fast enough

The Canon EOS R10 seems like a well-balanced package based on its feature list. If the R10 is a slightly more tuned sports car, this is a family car with a bit of kick. However, the EOS R10 doesn't lag behind its predecessors in any area, so this is sure to be a popular camera model even for those who have been shooting for a long time.

The Canon EOS R10 offers very fast continuous shooting for its class, recording up to 23 frames per second. But the cache size is smaller than in the bigger EOS R7, so continuous shooting at these speeds can only be done for a few seconds at most before the camera has to save images to the card before the next series.

In addition, the EOS R10 does not limit video to 30 minutes and the camera can record up to 2 hours of continuous video, making it suitable for recording events. Naturally, there is a microphone jack for high-quality audio and the autofocus works quickly even when shooting video.
