Light to carry, heavy-duty optics

The Victory SFL has been designed from the ground up to be as light and compact as possible without compromising on quality. By optimizing the lens diameter and using a thinner, yet extremely durable magnesium body, the SFL 10x40 is approximately 20% lighter and almost 20% shorter than traditional top-of-the-line binoculars in its class (e.g. the Victory SF 10x42). With a weight of 640g, the binoculars won't strain your neck even on long trips, while the large 40mm front lens ensures sufficient light output from dawn to dusk, and the 10x magnification brings even the most delicate objects right before your eyes.

The optical performance is built around the Ultra HD concept and ED glass, which produces a bright, natural and color-corrected image. Zeiss' T* multi-layer coating improves contrast and enables 90% light transmission.

Zeiss Victory SFL features Zeiss FieldFlattener technology to improve the sharpness of the edges of the image. In a standard binocular optical design, the image starts to soften towards the edges, with FieldFlattener technology the sharpness remains consistent across the entire image area. In practice, a bird moving on the edge or a distant forest edge is as sharp as an object in the center of the image, and the extremely wide 115m field of view for the effective magnification makes tracking targets easy.

Effortless viewing comfort

In addition to ergonomics and lightness, the Victory SFL's greatest asset is its viewing comfort, which is on par with top optics. In other words, the binoculars are practically easy to look at. They are significantly more forgiving in terms of eye placement than many other top binoculars.

With this model, you don't need separate forehead supports or precise head alignment – ??you just raise the binoculars to your eyes and enjoy a sharp image right away. This significantly reduces eye fatigue and speeds up your reaction to situations.

SmartFocus and close focus

SmartFocus technology makes the SFL series' focus one of the best on the market. The focus wheel is conveniently placed under the index finger, and has a silky smooth feel.

The focus transmission is carefully thought out: about 1.5 turns change the focus from 3 meters all the way to infinity. This means you find precise focus lightning fast, but thanks to the large ring and good friction, the focus is extremely precise, and there is no need to do any back and forth "sawing".

The SFL 10x40 focuses exceptionally close, at just 1.5m. This opens up completely new uses for the binoculars: you can go from following an eagle soaring in the sky in a split second to studying the wing patterns of a butterfly or dragonfly resting right at your feet in high definition.
