Calibration is performed automatically with a built-in device, color management is built into the monitor and there is no need to use software on the computer. You can even continue working during calibration. This is a so-called hardware calibrated display, meaning the calibration result is stored in the monitor, and the signal is changed on the screen, rather than by changing the signal in the graphics card to correct the weaknesses of the display.

But doesn't the calibration device always smudge the center of the screen?
