The display is pre-adjusted at the factory, so you can immediately try it out and see how your images look. Depending on your usage, every month or so, or if you want to change the settings, you can take out the calibrator and perform an automatic color adjustment.

You also need to calibrate again if you want to use a specific white balance or brightness, but fortunately this can be done while drinking your morning coffee. The color adjustments are also saved directly to the monitor's memory, so you don't have to fiddle with computer settings and different profiles. This is also very convenient if, for example, several users connect different computers to the same monitor!
