Calibration is performed automatically with a built-in device, color management is built into the monitor and there is no need to use software on the computer. You can even continue working during calibration. This is a so-called hardware calibrated display, meaning the calibration result is stored in the monitor, and the signal is changed on the screen, rather than by changing the signal in the graphics card to correct the weaknesses of the display.

But doesn't the calibration device always smudge the center of the screen? Eizo checks the monitor for even small brightness differences at the factory and maps these to the device's internal memory using machine vision. As a result, the image is smooth even from edge to edge, backlight bleeding and color shift smoothness are effectively minimized compared to competitors.

The Eizo CG2700S features a 10-bit panel, which means it covers 99% of the Adobe RGB color space, which is practically the entire range. This means this monitor is the right choice if you are previewing files that will be printed on a professional-grade large format printer and processing RAW images.
