The Samyang 35mm f/1.8 is part of the manufacturer's Tiny but mighty series. The idea behind these lenses is to have a compact size that is suitable for mirrorless cameras and large-format image quality in the same package.

This Samyang AF 35mm weighs only a third of the Samyang AF 35mm 1.4 lens! The difference in aperture is 2/3 of an aperture, making this lens the most popular model of Samyang 35mm lenses.

The compatibility is still the same, meaning this works with full-frame bodies and of course with APS-C sensor cameras, in which case the equivalent focal length is approximately 53mm. Usability is improved by a programmable switch for adjusting settings.

Also well suited for video shooting thanks to the new Linear STM focus motor. Autofocus works quickly and smoothly.

The lens structure consists of ten elements in eight groups. Three of the lens elements are special aspherical lenses that correct distortion. There are no fewer than nine diaphragm blades, so out-of-focus areas are elegantly soft.

The Samyang AF 35mm F1.8 is weatherproof.
