With a USB connection, the microphone works by connecting directly to a computer. Using adapters, the PodMic USB is also compatible with Android and iOS devices.

The microphone mainly picks up sound from the front, which means that room sounds and other background noise remain reasonable in the final recording. The small microphone allows for visual contact when recording with multiple people, so that the conversation remains natural.

A new and improved built-in pop filter filters out the sharpest pops and clicks from speech, such as 'p' and 's' sounds. The microphone also has a shock absorber to reduce interference noise caused by handling.
