The Rode NT-USB is, as its name suggests, a USB microphone that is compatible with both computers and iOS mobile devices with a suitable cable. This means you can record high-quality material with a very small amount of equipment, all you need is a microphone and a device to record the sound. This is suitable for podcast productions, video calls and of course for recording vocals and music.

The cardioid polar pattern does not pick up ambient sounds behind the microphone, making it ideal for use in rooms with poor acoustics, voice-over recording, and tube recording. The built-in pop filter and included cap reduce pops and clicks in speech, keeping the sound clear and pleasant.

The microphone has a Direct Mix Control knob on the side that lets you adjust the amount of sound coming from your computer relative to the sound coming from the microphone. This allows you to monitor the overall sound in real time. The microphone also has a headphone jack and volume control for audio monitoring.
