Producing soft and almost shadow-free light, Nanlite's 18-inch Halo ring light is suitable for many uses, such as vlogging, portrait photography, selfie photography, and videography.

Note: a phone stand is also included, so if you do video conferencing or live streaming with your phone, you don't need other equipment and stands!

The advantages of a ring light include that you can shoot through the light, which means that the light hitting the subject is even.   In addition to producing even and almost shadow-free light, the ring light creates round eye reflections in the subject's eyes, making the subject appear more lifelike.

Nanlite lights are top quality light sources. Not all LED lights are created equal. The quality of light is described by the color rendering index (CRI), which is a high 98 for this light . This means realistic and beautifully reproduced colors and skin tones. With poor quality lights, the colors will be dull and the image may have a pale yellow color tone, which looks bad in photos and videos. Due to the very good color rendering, these devices are popular for making cosmetics videos, the Nanlite Halo 18 also comes with a double-sided mirror for makeup use.

The brightness of Nanlite 18 is infinitely adjustable as needed. In addition, the color temperature is adjustable in the 2700-6500K range, meaning that if the ambient lighting is atmospheric and warm, you can get the additional light to work in exactly the same tone range and the additional light will not stand out glaringly in the picture. The adjustable color temperature allows you to test how your makeup looks in the sun or artificial light.

The 18-inch, 45.7cm diameter LED ring light weighs 1800 grams. Thanks to the standard 5/8' mount, the Halo 18 can be attached to almost any light stand.
