The Manfrotto 494 is a sturdy aluminum-framed ball head equipped with the Manfrotto 200PL-PRO quick release plate, which, in addition to the normal lock, also has a friction adjuster and pan lock.

For all amateur photographers looking for a small but strong ball head. This 494 aluminum center ball head offers fast and precise camera positioning. Light and compact. Made of very strong and lightweight aluminum, it can withstand a load of up to 8 kg. An excellent solution for all mirrorless cameras with zoom lenses and even medium-sized SLR cameras.

It comes with the new 200PL-PRO quick release plate , which is Manfrotto RC2 and Arca-swiss compatible. The quick release plate will fit any Arca-Swiss compatible head. Arca-Swiss rails / mounting plates do not fit Manfrotto's Advanced 494 head, but the old 200PL quick release plates will.
