The ColorEdge CG3100X is Eizo's flagship model, offering true DCI-4K resolution.

This 30.5-inch professional monitor is designed specifically for video post-production, color grading, and advanced image editing. The wider 17:9 aspect ratio allows you to process DCI-4K (4096 x 2160) video footage with pixel-perfect detail, while still allowing your software tools to fit within the image.

DCI-4K resolution and HDR workflow

The monitor's IPS panel achieves a maximum brightness of 500 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 1800:1. The high contrast ratio is achieved with "True Black" technology, which eliminates the black level fading typical of IPS panels when viewed from an angle. The display directly supports HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) and PQ (Perceptual Quantization) curves, which allows for reliable previewing and editing of HDR material. The color space coverage is wide: 99% of the DCI-P3 standard and 97% of AdobeRGB.

Automated color calibration

The CG3100X is equipped with a calibration sensor integrated into the display bezel, enabling automated maintenance calibration without the need for separate measuring devices. This is a hardware calibration, where the color profile is stored directly in the monitor's 24-bit 3D LUT to preserve signal quality.

Image uniformity is ensured by Eizon's Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) technology. In addition, the display has a built-in temperature sensor and artificial intelligence algorithm that compensates for the effect of ambient temperature fluctuations on color and brightness in real time.

Tools for video production quality assurance

For professional video production, the display features special inspection tools. The "Pixel Inspection" function allows you to check the technical values ??of the image signal at the pixel level (source data vs. displayed data), which helps ensure the correctness of color settings throughout the production chain. In addition, the Gamut Warning and Luminance Warning functions visually warn of areas that exceed the limits of the selected color space or brightness setting (e.g. Rec.709 clipping).

Comprehensive connectivity and USB-C docking

The device acts as a workstation hub thanks to its versatile connections. The USB-C connection allows for image signal and data transfer, as well as charging a laptop with up to 94 watts of power via a single cable.
