Microscopes

Explore objects you can't see with the naked eye! We have microscopes from quality manufacturers Celestron and Bresser. Suitable microscope models for children, as well as for hobby and commercial use.

Microscopes make a great gift for anyone of any age who has a passion and desire to learn.

A good device for a beginner and young researcher is a microscope with a low magnification. A low magnification factor makes viewing a little easier for a first-time observer compared to higher magnifications. The higher the magnification, the more precise and sensitive the placement and focusing of the object.

20x magnification is sufficient in many cases when you want to view and examine insects, plant parts, coins, etc. However, when you want to examine very small objects, such as the structure of hair, a fly's leg, or even smaller objects, the magnification should be 400x, 600x, or even 1280x.

Choosing a microscope

What should you consider when buying a microscope? What kind of microscope for a child? These questions usually come to mind when looking for your first microscope. A microscope offers access to an interesting world. They allow you to examine larger objects and insects, as well as smaller things that you may not see with the naked eye.

Children are usually interested in exploring insects, rocks, tree leaves, and other tactile objects. Therefore, an inexpensive magnifying glass and a bug jar are all that is needed as the very first equipment.

When the moderate magnification of a bug jar is no longer enough and your little scientist's patience and precision have grown, it's a good time to move on to a microscope. A stereo microscope, or a microscope that can be viewed with two eyes, is also a good choice when the need for magnification is not very high. A 20x magnification is sufficient in many cases, and it is intended for viewing slightly larger objects. A stereo microscope makes familiar objects look completely different than when viewed with the naked eye, as even small details can be seen clearly.

Small objects such as the structure of hair, the leg hairs of a fly, the special features of tree leaves, or even smaller objects require higher magnification, 100x, 400x, or even 1000x.

Considerations when choosing a microscope:

  • Low magnification makes it easier to view the object
  • The higher the magnification, the more precision and care it requires.
  • A microscope with a display makes viewing easier, and the whole family can examine samples at this
