The EQ and AZ markings in the name of the telescope indicate what type of tripod and axle system it comes with.
The AZ designation refers to the azimuthal axis system, which is found in the most affordable stargazing telescopes. In these, the tube only rotates horizontally and vertically, and tracking the object is difficult. The AZ mount is suitable when you want to use the telescope to view terrestrial objects as well as celestial objects, such as the moon and nearby planets. Mounts with the AZ axis system are lighter and simpler.

The EQ designation refers to an equatorial axis system. In these, the tube rotates around the axis of the base, and the tube is controlled by fine-adjustment screws. One of the axes is the so-called hour axis, which can be turned parallel to the Earth's axis, which makes it easy to keep the object in the eyepiece's field of view by turning the fine-adjustment screw. EQ tripods usually have the option of connecting a tracking motor.
