The handy rocker makes it easier to shoot with a large telephoto lens: this is great for Sigma or Tamron 150-600mm lenses, for example!
The Slik SGH-300 Gimbal Head is a camera head for heavy telephoto lenses that makes it easier and faster to aim the camera. With a load capacity of 3kg, the Gimbal Head moves smoothly when you are following a fast-moving subject, such as a bird or a racing car.
A gimbal-style structure is a sturdy and safe choice when shooting with heavy equipment. It should be noted that the gimbal head also requires a sturdy tripod. In such a structure, the weight of the camera + lens combination creates additional stability.
An Arca-Swiss compatible quick release plate is included, allowing you to mount it right at the center of gravity. And for example, the Tamron 150-600mm G2 lens fits securely directly onto this rail, so you don't need a quick release plate!
The SGH-300 requires a sturdy tripod to use. The base of the head has a 3/8” thread, so it fits directly onto most Manfrotto, Sirui and Benro tripods.
