When you are looking for an affordable and sturdy tripod, this may be what you are looking for. The Silk Pro 400DX is suitable for system cameras, video cameras, as well as telescopes and binoculars due to its 5kg load capacity. The simple Slik Pro 400X camera tripod, without any extra frills, does what a tripod should, i.e. supports the device when you need it.

The aluminum-built Slik Pro 400DX isn't the lightest at 2.5kg, but that's something you shouldn't compromise on if you're looking for a sturdy tripod that's affordable. Weight is one thing that makes the tripod sturdy, another is the thick leg tubes. All three legs of the tripod are also covered with soft foam padding, which makes the tripod comfortable to handle even in cold weather or when your hands are damp.

When fully extended, the 400DX rises to a height of 155cm, which is sufficient for many situations. If you leave the center tube unraised, the maximum working height is approximately 127cm. The specialty of the center tube is that it can be halved. By doing this, the tripod can be lowered to a height of approximately 32cm, which is suitable for macro photography or when you are looking for slightly more unusual angles.
