The Sigma 60-600mm is a completely new lens for Sony mirrorless system cameras, the old version for mirrorless cameras only has the focal length left. The Sigma 60-600mm works great in a variety of wildlife and sports situations where a long focal length is required. With this lens, you won't be in trouble if a subject, such as a bird or a player on the field, gets closer than planned! Choose this instead of the Sigma 150-600mm if the slight increase in weight is not a problem and the versatility of the focal length appeals to you.

The lens is designed for full-frame bodies, but is also suitable for APS-C L-mount cameras. In this case, the lens's cine equivalent focal length is a whopping 90-900mm .

The Sigma 60-600mm is a lens from the manufacturer's Sports model series. As its name suggests, it is also a lens for faster shooting. Now, for the first time, Sigma has a linear type focusing motor. According to initial tests, Sigma's 60-600mm delivers on these promises!

To make handheld shooting easier, the lens features a new, highly effective image stabilizer. The wide-angle end has an effect equivalent to about 7 stops and the telephoto end has an effect equivalent to 6 stops. This means even handheld video shooting and sharp photos in the evening and early morning twilight, when natural light is at its best.

The lens comes with a tripod foot, which is also Arca-Swiss compatible , so you don't need a quick release plate at all with, for example, a Sirui or 3 Legged Thing ball head! The solution is lighter and more sturdy than a separate quick release plate.

On the side of the lens are switches for autofocus distance limiters, as well as for adjusting image stabilization settings.

The lens is weather and dust-proof, and the outer lens elements are coated with a dirt-repellent coating. The bayonet is all-metal and made of brass. There are seals between the buttons and the slide tubes.
