Rode smartLAV+ Lavalier lavalier microphone

Røde smartLAV+ Lavalier microphone

Compared to the older model, the Rode SmartLav+ lavalier microphone has a more sensitive and higher quality microphone, better ambient noise cancellation, and a Kevlar-reinforced cable.

SmartLav is a professional-grade lapel microphone. The smartLav is designed for widespread use in film, television, broadcast, or anywhere high-quality audio is required. The discreet, lightweight design without the hassle and expense of additional wireless components makes the smartLav a popular choice for tight locations and budgets.

The operation is simple and straightforward: Attach the mic to the speaker, connect the cable to your smartphone or tablet and record using either the RØDE Rec iOS app or any audio application of your choice.
Because the smartLav features a high-quality spherical condenser capsule, it captures sound equally well from all directions. This gives flexibility in microphone placement and ease of use.
A foam windscreen that dampens wind and plosives (hard consonants p, t and k) and a durable mount with cable guides are included as standard with the microphone.

smartLav works with any audio app and device that accepts a TRRS connector as an audio input. The microphone works best with the RØDE Rec app for Apple iOS devices. RØDE Rec turns your iOS device into a versatile field recorder, with a wide range of equalizer presets designed for different situations, editing functions, and the ability to share recordings to SoundCloud or Dropbox directly from the app.
