Use this adapter if you want to connect a Rode Smartlav or other microphone designed for smart devices to your camera! If you want to connect Rode Videomic and similar camera mics to your phone, the SC4 adapter is the right one.

The Rode SC3 3.5mm TRRS to TRS adapter is for the Rode smartLav / smartLac+ or any smartphone-compatible microphone where you want to convert the TRRS connector to a normal miniplug TRS connector.

The adapter allows you to connect a Rode smartLav / smartLav+ or other similar mobile microphone to devices with a 3.5mm TRS input, such as cameras or audio recorders. The gold-plated connectors are color-coded, with the gray connector being the TRRS input.
