The Rode NTG4 shotgun microphone is a condenser directional microphone. The NTG-4 features a fully condenser capsule, which has increased sensitivity and reduced noise floor.

The NTG4 microphone features a digitally controlled bass cutoff that reduces low-frequency interference and a high-frequency boost that can compensate for attenuation caused by windscreens.
