The Panasonic Lumix S 20mm f/2.5 is a compact lens designed for full-frame cameras for traveling photographers and content creators. This 4cm long lens weighs only 142 grams. The lens' wide-angle 20mm focal length is ideal for capturing wide landscapes without the distortion caused by a fisheye lens. The subjects can be landscapes, architecture, street photography, interiors and vlogging.

The Lumix S 20mm F2.5 is a so-called hybrid lens, meaning it is suitable for both still and video photography. The lens's circular 7-blade diaphragm produces a pleasant bokeh effect for the foreground of the subject in focus and the background blurred. Panasonic has sought to improve the performance of the optics with three aspherical lens elements, so the image remains sharp from the center of the lens to the edges. The fluorine coating on the front lens makes it easier to remove dirt and grease stains from surfaces.

With videographers in mind, the Lumix S 20mm f/2.5 lens has been designed with focus breathing minimized to ensure that focus transitions during shooting appear as natural as possible. The lens features a customizable Lens Fn button and a control ring that allows you to assign custom functions to the camera to suit your shooting style, such as crop zoom.

The lens is designed to be dust and splash resistant.

Due to its size, the Lumix S 20mm F2.5 is particularly well suited for small bodies, for example as a companion to the Panasonic S9. We recommend updating the S9 firmware to at least version 2.1 (support for programmable lens buttons) for the best user experience.
