The Panasonic 18mm F1.8 is the manufacturer's widest-angle lens for full-frame L-Mount compatible cameras.

Now there are five F1.8 prime lenses in the Panasonic Lumix S series. All have the same 67mm filter thread, features suitable for video shooting such as fast and silent focusing and minimized focus breathing. In addition, the center of gravity and weight are very close to each other, so for example the gimbal stabilizer does not need to be rebalanced.

The focus ring works linearly, so you can easily connect a follow focus focusing system to it. According to initial tests, the autofocus is very fast. The image quality is excellent in video use. The image definition improves in photo use by dimming and the lens is suitable for demanding landscape photography if the requirement is not full aperture performance, for example in star photography.

The Panasonic S 18mm F1.8 is weather-protected in construction.
