This SE (special edition) lens has been released specifically with the Nikon Z fc and Nikon ZF cameras in mind, and the lens's appearance exudes the same retro vibe as the camera bodies.

The minimalist Nikon 40mm f/2 (SE) is a fast lens for Nikon Z-mount SLR cameras. The compact and lightweight lens is ideal for everyday use, from vlogging to street photography and portraiture.

The STM focusing motor enables fast, silent and accurate focusing for both still and video shooting.

In portrait photography, the small size of the lens helps the subject to be more natural and relaxed in front of the camera. In addition, the rounded aperture creates a soft and rounded bokeh effect. With the background beautifully blurred, the subject stands out even more in the image.

The control ring on this lens is also programmable. The default function is manual focus, but you can also program the ring to adjust aperture, ISO sensitivity, or exposure compensation, for example.
