The Nikon 28-400mm also includes VR image stabilization, which works in conjunction with the stabilization found on Nikon bodies. This allows for sharp images even in difficult lighting conditions and also ensures stable video. The autofocus is also well suited for video recording, meaning it works quickly but without any extra noise.

The closest focusing distance is only 20cm at the wide-angle setting and 1.2m at the full 400mm zoom, so even though it's not an actual macro, you can get really close with this.
