Joby has launched its new GorillaPod range, available in 325, 500, 1K, 3K and 5K models. The new range of tripods and ball heads are labelled simply, as they tell you exactly how much weight the tripod can carry, making it easier to find the right GorillaPod for you. The new GorillaPod range retains the same familiar features that made the brand popular when the first foldable tripods were launched.

The new Gorillapod collection offers:

The Gorillapod 1K replaces the previous GorillaPod Hybrid tripod.

Often, a large tripod is left at home for the simple reason that dragging one around is a hassle. The Gorillapod is nice and compact, so it's much easier to carry around in a backpack or bag. Now at least taking a picture won't be a problem because you can't carry a tripod with you.

The Joby Gorillapod 1K Stand is a sturdy and flexible camera tripod that can support a DSLR camera and optics (max. 1kg). It does not come with a quick release plate, but the camera attaches to the Gorillapod with a universal 1/4" thread.

The Joby Gorillapod differs from a traditional tripod in that you can modify and bend it into different positions and locations thanks to the ball joints. You can bend the tripod around a tree branch, a pole, a fence, the side of a boat or even the roll bar of a racing car. The tripod also stands like a traditional tripod, for example on a table. Thanks to the folding legs, the Gorillapod can be made to stand firmly on uneven surfaces.

The Gorillapod Hybrid 1K Stand is intended for a system camera with optics, a video camera, and for example any studio equipment that attaches to a 1/4” thread.

A quick-release plate is not included.
