The Fuji 35mm was one of the first lenses in the XF series to be released, and it was a popular lens due to its sharpness and aperture. Now Fuji has released a successor to it, as you can see from the 33mm focal length, this lens is a completely new design. This Fuji 33mm is equivalent to about a 50mm lens in cine format, so for many this is the go-to lens and also works as the only lens.

The biggest changes are, in addition to image quality improvements, faster autofocus and weather protection. Fuji is preparing for future high-resolution bodies, meaning the lens' resolution is better than the previous model. The lens's focus circle is slightly larger, which gives the body stabilizer more room to maneuver without vignetting or image softening at the edges.

The Fuji 33mm is, like modern lenses, complex in its construction, but thanks to the special lenses used, there is less color shift and other distortions. Beautiful detail outside the depth of field is achieved with 9 rounded diaphragm blades.

In addition to faster autofocus, so-called focus breathing, or the image breathing during focus, is almost minimized, so Fuji's 33mm is also very suitable for video shooting.
