The Hoya HD Nano MkII CIR-PL is a premium circular polarizing filter. The polarizing film has up to 25% better light transmission compared to normal polarizing films. Both surfaces of the filter are coated with a 16-layer Nano coating, which is harder and longer lasting than normal coatings. The Nano coating protects the filter from scratches and repels water, oil and dirt, making this filter suitable for shooting in more demanding conditions.
The filter has a low profile, the glass is mounted in the frame using a special high-pressure technology, making the filter even more durable and protective. The filter's low frame does not vignette with wide-angle lenses.

The main purpose of a polarizing filter is to remove reflections from, for example, water, glass and other non-metallic surfaces. A polarizing filter also deepens the color tones of the image, e.g. green is greener and the blueness of the sky is deeper, making clouds stand out whiter and clearer than usual.
In landscape photography, for example, in addition to the reflection of the water surface, the filter can be used to reduce the haze caused by the reflection of water particles in the air. Haze or sun haze causes the haze in the air. When shooting through a window, it is very easy for the rest of the landscape to be reflected off the window glass in a disturbing way. This problem can be avoided by using a polarizing filter.
