The Fujinon XF 80 mm f/2.8 LM OIS WR Macro is a macro lens with optical image stabilization. Thanks to its weather protection, it is designed for extensive outdoor use, even in bad weather conditions and cold temperatures down to -10 degrees. The macro lens has a magnification of 1x, meaning objects can be photographed in their natural size.

The lens is equipped with 11 rubber seals to prevent moisture and dust; the front element is treated with fluorite to repel water droplets, dirt and grease. The powerful optical image stabilization (OIS) allows you to shoot without support at a shutter speed up to 5 stops slower than without stabilization.

Autofocus is driven by Fujifilm's fast and quiet Linear Motor (LM), and a wide focus ring makes it easy to set focus manually. The focus range can also be limited to three different positions; 0.25m – infinity (full focus range); 0.5m – infinity and 0.25m – 0.5m.

To prevent the lens from changing size when focusing and to ensure the highest possible image quality at all distances from infinity to the closest point (25 cm), the lens features internal focusing and an optical design with so-called floating lens elements. Two lens groups, one in front and one in the back, can move independently of each other as the focusing distance changes.
