The DJI Mic Mini 2S brings the powerful features of the Mic Mini to the compact and lightweight size. It's an excellent value for money option if you don't necessarily need the timecode synchronization of the Mic 3 model.

This package includes a USB-C receiver that is compatible with smart devices. The receiver draws power directly from your phone and has a button to adjust the noise cancellation. The system is mainly controlled via the DJI Mimo app on your smartphone.

The transmitters' microphones are omnidirectional, meaning you can use them to record background sounds or conversations between several people, such as interviews. They can be attached directly to the performers using either a clip or a magnet. The transmitter can be connected to the new Osmo 360, Osmo Action and Pocket series cameras or to a smartphone via Bluetooth without a receiver.

The wide dynamic range of 32-bit recording provides even better sound quality, and audio levels can be adjusted afterwards without affecting sound quality, even if the levels are initially too quiet or loud. 32-bit mode can be enabled via the DJI Mimo app.

Adaptive gain control includes two selectable modes. Automatic Mode prevents audio clipping and is suitable for sporting events where sound levels fluctuate dramatically. Dynamic Mode adjusts gain levels to respond to changes in sound levels. This mode is suitable for quiet indoor environments such as studios.

Two different levels of AI-powered noise cancellation, Basic for quiet indoor environments and Strong for louder environments. Also included are wind shields that effectively block out extraneous sounds.

Three different "Tone preset" tone settings can be selected via the DJI Mimo app:

• Regular: clean, natural and balanced sound

• Rich: emphasis on low tones, fuller and more powerful sound

• Bright: emphasizes high tones, increases clarity

A total of two transmitters can be connected to the receiver at the same time. The transmitters and receivers of the Mic Mini, Mic Mini 2 and Mic Mini 2S series work seamlessly cross-functionally with each other.

Since the mobile receiver only allows you to adjust noise cancellation, the system is controlled visually and effortlessly via the DJI Mimo app on your smartphone. The battery lasts for 11 hours of use in the transmitter, and with the charging case, the entire system can be used for up to 40 hours. If necessary, a quick five-minute charge of the transmitter gives you an hour of use.
