The DJI Mic Mini 2 is an updated version of the manufacturer's smallest wireless microphone system. This version includes a USB-C receiver suitable for mobile devices.

This is very similar in features to the DJI Mic series system, but this Mini version has been stripped of a few more demanding features, such as 32-bit audio and internal recording. However, it is significantly smaller and lighter, and has significantly better battery life.

It comes with two wireless microphones that transmit sound up to 400m away to a receiver that attaches to your smart device. The included charging case keeps the system always ready to use.

The transmitters' microphones are omnidirectional, meaning you can use them to record background sounds or conversations between several people, such as an interview. They can be attached directly to the performers with either a clip or a magnet. The transmitter can be connected without a receiver to Osmo Action and Pocket cameras or to a smartphone via Bluetooth. With the DJI Fly app, you can connect the microphone to a DJI drone wirelessly.

The dual-level noise cancellation feature reduces unwanted background noise and interference from your audio. The basic level is great for quieter indoor environments, while the stronger level significantly reduces background noise in louder environments.

Three different "Tone preset" tone settings can be selected via the DJI Mimo app:

• Regular: clean, natural and balanced sound
• Rich: emphasis on low tones, fuller and more powerful sound
• Bright: emphasizes high tones, increases clarity

Adjustments are made using the receiver's buttons and adjustment wheel. The battery lasts for about 11 hours of use or up to 48 hours with the charging case. DJI Mic Mini also records a safety track in the background at a -6dB setting, so sudden loud noises don't ruin the final result.
