Plössl eyepieces offer good image quality at an affordable price. Celestron Omni Plossl eyepieces feature four multi-coated lenses and darkened body walls to improve contrast and reduce reflections.

All versions have a 50 degree field of view except for the 40mm version. This makes the 40mm more suitable for use with a camera, while the 32mm model offers an equally wide view of the sky.

The eye relief of the Plossl eyepieces is small. The 15mm and longer ones are suitable for eyeglass wearers, but the smaller (4mm-12mm) versions have quite a small eye relief. The rubber cushion can be folded out of the way if needed.

For better viewing comfort with glasses, use Celestron X-Cel Lx and Luminos eyepieces.
