The SLT Series models feature NexStar computer control, which allows the telescope to be automatically aligned to any of over four thousand objects, the data of which is pre-installed on the altazimuth mount. These 4000 stored objects include over 600 galaxies, 300 star clusters and dozens of beautiful binary stars. So there is plenty to observe for a long time. The telescope can be updated with a GPS locator, making polar alignment with the SkyAlign alignment system easy and hassle-free.

The Celestron Nexstar SLT comes with a remote-controlled controller that you can input to make the telescope find and track your target.
