Smart features to help photographers

Canon Intelligent Auto (A+) automatically detects the scene and subject in the image, adjusting exposure and settings automatically. The EOS R100 also detects changes in movement and can track the subject.

Creative filters allow you to use different effects, such as black and white photography or a minimal depth of field, which, for example, highlights the person being photographed against a soft background.

In addition to taking photos, Hybrid Auto mode also captures 2-4 seconds of video before and after the image is exposed. These videos can be used to create behind-the-scenes footage or, for example, fun compilations of parties.

Video recording is possible in 4K quality with cropping and FullHD 1080 quality without cropping. Videographers also have the help of a 3.5mm microphone jack. In light and video recording, autofocus is handled by a fast Dual Pixel CMOS AF system with face and eye detection and follow-up focus. The camera does not have animal detection focus.
