The Tamron 18-300mm is a superzoom lens for Sony's APS-C sensor size system cameras. The emphasis is on the word super because the equivalent focal length in film is a whopping 27-450mm. The lens weighs 629g and is a little over 12cm long, so this is very suitable as the only lens for travel use.

The lens is also weather-sealed and the front lens surfaces are coated with a material that makes it easy to clean. The zoom can be locked, meaning the lens won't come loose when hanging from the strap.
