The Tamron 17-70mm focal length is equivalent to a 25-105mm focal length in cine format. This, combined with a good f/2.8 maximum aperture, makes the lens a very versatile lens. Now you won't miss out on the maximum aperture either.

The same lens can handle both wide landscapes and details from a distance or portraits. In addition, the closest focusing distance to the lens is only 39cm even at full zoom, which means the lens can also take impressive close-ups.

The Tamron 17-70mm DI III-A also includes optical image stabilization. The manufacturer promises that the stabilization will be more effective than older technologies, especially during video shooting.

The optics weigh only 525g, but despite its lightness, the construction is weatherproof. In addition, the front lens element is coated with fluorine, which repels dirt and makes cleaning easier.

The filter thread is a reasonable 67mm, which is exactly the same as Tamron's other acclaimed Sony-compatible zooms.
