Syrp Slingshot Cable Cam is a cable camera system for stylish timelapse photography and why not also for video shooting.
In addition to the Syrp Slingshot, you need the separately purchased Syrp Genie, which pulls the Slingshot sled at a controlled speed.
You can use a cable camera in tight spaces, indoors, low to the ground or high up, or when it is not possible to fly a drone. With a fixed cable car, you can also perform repeated filming when you need to film the same route. This is not easy with a drone.
The Syrp Slimshot can support a maximum load of 8kg, so it is suitable for larger camera+lens combinations. If you are satisfied with a smaller load capacity, check out the Wiral Lite Cable Cam product.
The package comes with two mounting rods, each of which is attached at a distance (max. 25m) from each other, for example to a tree trunk, post, lamppost or similar. The included ropes are strung between the rods and tightened, after which the Slingshot sled itself is placed on the ropes. Installation is possible at any height, almost at ground level or high in the air.
The separately purchased Syrp Genie must be installed on the SlignShot sled, which is needed to move the SlignShot sled at your desired speed.
There is a standard 3/8" male thread on the bottom of the sled, to which you can attach a normal ball head, or Syrpin's Genie Mini / Genia II heads, allowing you to control the camera in multiple axes.
