Sirui's new Traveler series simplifies tripod naming and offers tripods with an interesting price-performance ratio.
The Sirui Traveler 7A is a larger and more versatile model in the Sirui Traveler series of tripods. It is also available in a carbon fiber version.
Who this tripod is for: The Traveler 7A travel tripod is a great basic tripod with an aluminum construction. This is suitable for those who have a mirrorless system camera, a compact mirrorless camera kit or, for example, a superzoom camera, and want a tripod that is really easy to carry with you.

The legs of the Sirui Traveler 7A tripod consist of four parts and three twist locks. The twist locks open and close quickly, with only half a turn required. These locks are easy to use even when wearing gloves.
With the legs and center tube fully extended, the maximum height reaches 171 cm, which is a good height for many photographers. With the legs fully extended, the tripod's minimum working height is 50 cm.
The angle lock of the legs is adjusted using a spring-loaded lever at the base of the leg. The legs automatically lock into three different angles (each leg angle can be adjusted separately) and have anti-slip rubber caps on the ends. The rubber caps can be replaced with ice spikes (included), which gives the tripod extra grip, especially in winter or when shooting on grassy fields.
Two of the three legs of the stand have padding, which makes handling the stand comfortable, especially in low temperatures or wet weather.
The locking mechanism of the center tube is a screw lock, like the legs. The center tube can be turned upside down, which allows for macro photography at ground level or otherwise just close to ground level. There is a hook at the bottom of the center tube, where you can attach a backpack to, for example, support the tripod.
The Sirui Traveler 7's center bridge has an accessory port with a 1/4-inch thread, to which you can attach a separately purchased accessory arm for, for example, an LED light or a shooting monitor, etc.
The Sirui E-10 ball head that comes with the tripod package has its own locking screw for both panning and the ball. The measuring scale at the base of the head makes landscape photography easier.
The ball head comes with an Acra-swiss compatible TY-50E quick release plate.
