The Shimoda Sidecountry 32 Starter Kit includes the Shimoda Sidecountry 32 liter backpack and a Medium Top Loader camera insert/bag. The backpack opens from the top and sides, so you can easily access your gear without having to put the bag down. Additional space can be provided if needed with the expandable "roll-top" top.

The camera insert included in the backpack can hold a DSLR camera and two lenses, for example a Sony A7 IV with 24-70mm and 70-200mm lenses. The camera insert can be detached from the backpack, allowing it to be carried as a shoulder bag when there is no need to carry the entire backpack.

The top flap opens to reveal space for a jacket, for example, and a zippered pocket for quick access to the laptop compartment. The top of the backpack is removable and can be used as a small bag for shopping or snacks, for example. On the other side is a large zippered pocket with storage space for smaller items. The side pockets on the outside can hold a water bottle and a travel tripod.

The exterior of the backpack is made of water-repellent material and a rain cover is also included.
