The Sennheiser MKH 8018 is a phantom-powered RF condenser shotgun microphone with three polar patterns. The shotgun microphone effectively eliminates side noise thanks to its polar pattern. It is suitable for recording professional film and TV productions, nature and sporting events, for example.

Three selectable directional patterns:

• MS (Mid-Side) Mode: Separate mid and side signals for post-processing
• XY-Narrow (LR-N) Mode: Narrow stereo
• XY-Wide (LR-W) Mode: Wide stereo

Thanks to its wide frequency response, high sensitivity, and maximum sound pressure, the MKH 8018 provides pure studio-grade sound quality without the need for post-processing, such as noise removal or adjusting gain levels.

A switchable Low Cut filter (-3 dB @ 70 Hz) eliminates distracting low-level sounds, such as wind and traffic noise. A -10 dB pad keeps the sound clear even in noisy environments.

The durable and weatherproof construction is designed to repel moisture, so this microphone can withstand recording in even the most challenging conditions. Compatible with a variety of recorders, video and film cameras. Easy to mount on a microphone stand or boom.
