The Samyang 14-24mm is Samyang's second zoom lens designed in collaboration with Schneider-Kreuznach. The F2.8 aperture, small size, and 72mm filter thread make this a lens for traveling landscapes and videographers.

This new lens from Samyang has been designed in collaboration with the German optics company Schneider-Kreuznach. Schneider-Kreuznach is a traditional player known for its high-end products and has done similar design collaborations with, for example, Phase One.

The Samyang 24-60mm is a fast and compact lens, its light weight and size are achieved thanks to the slightly rare 60mm focal length. The autofocus uses fast linear motors and supports Sony's advanced autofocus features.

The Samyang 24-60mm contains 14 elements in 11 groups. Eight of the lenses are special elements. With the lens structure, Samyang aims for the best possible and distortion-free image quality, also in the peripheral areas of the image. The lens is very compact in size compared to the aperture and focal length, weighing only 494g. The lens also has a 72mm filter thread.

The Samyang 24-60mm features autofocus and Sony's advanced features such as eye focus and subject detection work on the lens. The lens has a programmable button for activating focus features, for example. In addition, the body has a USB-C port for software updates.

The Samyang AF 24-60mm F2.8 is weatherproof to IP5X standard and the body is made of aluminum. In addition, the outer lens surfaces are treated with a dirt and water repellent coating.
