The right film scanner for high-quality digitization of cine-size negative films and slides.
A scanner for both professionals and hobbyists who want to speed up and automate the scanning process. The Plustek OpticFilm 8100 is equipped with a new LED light source and comes with Silverfast 8 SE Plus, holders for slides ( slides can be scanned with frames ) and negatives.

The Plustek Opticfilm 8100 film scanner features software-based SRDx dust removal , which removes dust particles and scratches from negatives and slides.
The multi-exposure function allows you to capture all the tones of dark and difficult-to-scan images. The function scans the same image several times and creates a high-quality file from the images.
Note: When comparing scanners, it is not a good idea to only look at the resolution promised in the product information (stated in DPI). When using a flatbed scanner, the resolution is greatly affected by the quality of the film holders (the image resolution suffers if the negative is not straight). Separate film scanners such as Plustek have good film holders, and there are no additional glass surfaces in front of the scanner's CCD sensor like in a flatbed scanner. The comparison image shows the sharpness of the image of a flatbed scanner and a real film scanner scanned at different resolutions; the film scanner wins in resolution even if smaller file sizes are used.
