The Epson V850 scanner supports a wide range of positive and negative film formats, including 35mm negatives, 35mm slides, and medium format and 5x4 inch films. The dual lens system ensures high optical scanning resolution for film (6400 dpi) and photos (4800 dpi). The device automatically selects the lens that provides optimal scanning quality and speed. Thanks to the high optical density (4.0 Dmax), the scanner produces a wide range of highly accurate tones, especially in dark areas.

The new film holders on the Epson Perfection V850 Pro scanner are even more sturdy, and users can adjust their height to find exactly the right focus point and the best possible focus. The new film holders also feature an anti-Newton ring glass that improves scan quality by compressing it evenly. The V850 also comes with a second set of holders, so you can prepare the next film set while scanning.

The Epson Perfection V850 uses Digital ICE technology to remove dust, hair, scratches, fingerprints, wrinkles and other defects from film, slides and photographs. Since manual corrections are not required, the technology saves time and effort. Developed for film scanning, Digital ICE uses infrared light and advanced algorithms to detect and remove surface defects.
