The image quality is okay, so this is perfect for stylish landscape photography. The contrast is high even when shooting against backlight, and extra reflections are effectively minimized.

The closest focusing distance is only 25cm, which is quite short for a zoom, so you can achieve even tighter angles. When shooting this close, the images also have a smaller depth of field and objects outside the sharp area are beautifully soft.

The Sigma 16-28mm is also great for video shooting, the focus motor is fast and doesn't require any extra routines. The lightweight lens is also very easy to balance with a gimbal stabilizer. Due to its size, the filter thread is also a very reasonable size of 72mm.

The Sigma 16-28mm has internal zoom and focus, meaning the lens size does not change when focusing or adjusting the focal length, so it feels very sturdy in the hand. The camera body is weather and dust protected and the bayonet is brass. Made in Japan.
