• Light Composition combines images by selecting and recording the brightest pixel, making it easy to create stylish, dramatic images of fireworks and night scenes.
• 4K Live Cropping enables a unique video expression that has been difficult to capture before. Only the recording frame moves while the camera remains still. This allows for smooth panning and allows you to zoom in on a subject that is not in the center of the frame.
• Post Focus lets you shoot now and focus later. Imagine being able to decide where you want to focus after you've taken the picture. The Post Focus feature on the LUMIX TZ99 lets you do just that. Simply take a picture of your subject, look at the image and touch the area you want to focus on.
• The focus ring makes control easy. The focus ring lets you adjust aperture, shutter speed, zoom, and focus. The ring can also be customized to use your favorite settings.

Thanks to DFD technology, the Lumix TZ99 autofocuses extremely quickly. Panasonic's Depth From Defocus (DFD) Auto Focus (AF) technology instantly calculates the distance to subjects within the frame and controls the lens' focus in one quick, continuous movement. This system enables autofocus to be achieved in as little as 0.1 seconds, and the continuous shooting speed using AFC autofocus is up to 5 frames per second. It also improves the stability of continuous focus during video recording. Star Light AF Low Light Auto Focus allows you to focus on a subject more precisely in low light conditions, such as moonlight, even without the AF assist light.

Panasonic HYBRID OIS (Optical Image Stabilizer) 5-axis stabilization produces sharp video images even when shooting handheld. It detects and compensates for five-way camera movement – horizontal and vertical movement, rotation axis, and vertical and horizontal rotation. The Level Shot function detects the horizontal plane of the image and maintains it even when the camera is tilted. The video image becomes smooth even when shooting from a high angle. HYBRID OIS+ and Level Shot do not work with 4K video recording.

The camera battery is charged inside the camera via a USB connection. The camera package does not include a USB-C cable, but you can use any cable with a USB Type C connection.
