Low-light shooting

When the light gets low and you can't see the details anymore, you can use the Nikon Z30's wide ISO range. The Nikon Z 30's large 20.9-megapixel sensor captures more detail and light than a smartphone sensor that is 14 times smaller. This means you can get clear, professional-looking videos and photos even in low light. You can shoot videos up to ISO 25,600. Photos can be taken up to ISO 51,200. The camera's autofocus works reliably even in low light at night.

Shooting with long exposures

Up to 125 minutes of continuous video recording is possible, so you can shoot long sequences without any worries. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as Nikon's SnapBridge app, mean you can transfer content to services wherever you are.

Sound is the most important element of a video

Use the camera's built-in, sensitive stereo microphone or an external microphone. The sound menu provides options for recording the camera's own voice and ambient sounds (such as music or street noise). There is also a function for reducing wind noise.

A camera full of features that improve and make shooting easier

You can flip the rotating screen to face forward, and the camera instantly activates self-portrait mode, clearing the screen for unobstructed visibility. A well-placed record button lets you take snapshots or record video. The video record button on the top of the camera body is always right where you need it.

When recording video, a clear red frame on the screen indicates that video mode is in use, and a red light on the front indicates that recording is in progress. You know at a glance that video recording is on.

You can customize your camera's controls and settings in a variety of ways. Set up favorite menu items in the i menu and save your frequently used settings to the camera's Fn buttons – or to the U1, U2 and U3 positions on the mode dial.

Advanced automatic functions for difficult lighting and fast-action shooting. All creative control is conveniently handled with manual controls or automatic settings.

Video AF mode uses full-time autofocus and takes care of focusing for you, locking on to your subjects no matter what they do or how often you change the composition on the fly.

When shooting in automatic mode, you can still easily adjust the camera's exposure compensation so that the subject or your own face always appears well lit.

In continuous shooting, you have autofocus and exposure at the full 11 frames per second. Continuous shooting is needed to get a top-notch still photo of a fast-moving subject, for example for Instagram.

The Nikon Z30 is compatible with all NIKKOR Z lenses. With the optional Nikon FTZ II Mount Adapter, you can also use lenses from Nikon DSLR cameras with an F-mount.
