Nikon's first f/2.8 zoom lens for mirrorless crop sensor cameras. It is therefore best suited for use with DX sensor format cameras such as the Nikon Z50 II. The lens has a cine equivalent focal length of 24-75mm.

With full-sensor cameras, when using a lens, the body automatically adopts a 1.5 crop.

The lens features a powerful 5-stop VR image stabilization, which ensures sharp images even in difficult lighting and steady video. Autofocus is fast and quiet, with less angle of view shift during focus and a silent focusing ring.

The closest focusing distance is just 15cm at the wide-angle setting and 25cm at the 50mm zoom.
